ANTIQUE SWISS PINCHBECK HAND PAINTED FOLK GENTLEMAN MINIATURE BRACELET c1840
An antique Swiss pinchbeck-type gilt yellow metal bracelet, with repoussé links and a snap clasp holding a hand painted miniature on porcelain, depicting a figure in traditional regional dress, probably a well known stage personality of the period.
Good quality, very collectible & so wearable!
CONDITION
: All original and generally good. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Some scratches & minor loss to miniature – see pictures.
DATE/MARKS
: Around 1830/40. Not marked.
DIMENSIONS
: 6 ½ inches long (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
WEIGHT
: Approx. 35.2 grams.
